I am a medical student soon to be in my fourth year. Ever since I had to stop running years ago, I have constantly been searching for a hobby to take up my free time. Climbing and going to the gym are fun, but never replaced the feeling I got when I ran. I have always wanted to increase my exposure to wildlife, but being a pre-med and now medical student is time consuming and did not afford me a lot of time to explore.

I’ve lived in Southern California for my whole life, and uprooted to move to Kansas City for my first two years of medical school. I was able to then come back to Southern California for my third-year clinical rotations, but I got the incredible chance to live in the beautiful California desert while learning more about medicine in my third year. I have always had a passion for wildlife and birds, and the condo I lived in for my third year rotations provided me with an unbeatable opportunity to finally pick up photography.

Most of my photos to date are in Rancho Mirage, where an extremely wide variety of birds like to flock to in the Winter. Throughout the year, I’ve seen cormorants, egrets, herons (seen to the right), pelicans, and plenty more. Perhaps my favorite spotting of the year was when my girlfriend’s phone picked up the sound of a red-shouldered hawk, and we searched around until we found where the couple of hawks were sitting. I finally got to hear the hawks cry that has been falsely attributed to the cry of a bald eagle.

I wanted to create a website so that I can have a place to show the beautiful wildlife that I was and plan to continue to be exposed to.

A lot of these photos lose a little bit of quality when they are uploaded; please see the section below or the contact page if you want to buy a print or contact me to get a higher-resolution photo for free if you are unable to afford a print.

Please enjoy this website, where I will periodically upload photos when I have time.

If you are interested in buying a print, please contact me and we can discuss some options! If you cannot afford a print but would still like to enjoy the photos in their original quality, please feel free to reach out.
